The 637th Bochum Maiabendfest 2025 continued the 637-year tradition. Four festival days featuring the Grand Tattoo, a concert night, the oak excavation in Harpen, the Grand Parade back to the city center, and Children's Day marked the program. The Bochumer Maiabendgesellschaft 1388 e.V. carried on its historical customs in a modern presentation — the Maiabendfest remains Bochum's oldest and most important city tradition.

The 637th edition of the Bochum Maiabendfest 2025 kept the centuries-old customs alive. The Bochumer Maiabendgesellschaft 1388 e.V. organized the four-day festival week with a concert and theater evening, the traditional oak excavation in Harpen, the Grand Parade back to the city center, and the family-friendly Children's Day on Sunday. With over 637 years of documented history, the festival is among Germany's oldest urban festival traditions and shapes Bochum's identity like almost no other event.
