Bochum Total 2025 — The 39th Edition

From July 3rd to 6th, 2025, the Bermuda Triangle transformed into a concert mile for the 39th time. Four main stages — the WDR 1LIVE Stage on Südring/Viktoriastraße, the RADIO BOB! Rockstage, the Sparkassen Stage on Konrad-Adenauer-Platz, and the Wortschatzbühne — presented a program that combined German headliners with the classic Bochum Total mix of newcomers and established acts.

As every year, admission remained free. Hundreds of thousands of visitors commuted between the four stages, through the pub mile, and through the closed city center. The Wortschatzbühne once again brought readings, comedy, and podcast formats to the festival — a hallmark that distinguishes Bochum Total in the German festival landscape.

With 39 editions, Bochum Total is now Germany's longest-running inner-city open-air festival and has maintained its claim: free, without stages behind fences, in the middle of the city — and in 2025, it also served as a dress rehearsal for the 40th anniversary, which is set to be the largest edition in the festival's history in 2026.
