BMW Berlin-Marathon 2025 — World Record Classic

The 48th BMW Berlin-Marathon took place on September 28, 2025, under typical late summer conditions, which once again allowed the fastest marathon course in the world to live up to its reputation. Around 55,000 athletes from 160 countries started in several waves from 9:15 AM on the Straße des 17. Juni — marathon runners, wheelchair athletes, handbikers. The course through all inner Berlin districts (Mitte, Tiergarten, Charlottenburg, Schöneberg, Tempelhof, Kreuzberg, Neukölln, Friedrichshain) finished at the Brandenburg Gate.

As early as Thursday, September 25th, the BMW Marathon Expo opened in the former Tempelhof Airport hall — a dedicated sports fair with over 100 exhibitors. On Saturday, September 27th, the GENERALI 5K over the last 5 km of the marathon course and the Berlin Inline Marathon over the full distance took place. Organizer SCC EVENTS, main sponsors BMW, adidas, Abbott, and Zalando — as in previous years, a festival weekend for Berlin and the international running community alike.
