Overview
blurred edges 2025 – Review
From May 30 to June 29, 2025, blurred edges once again ran as a month-long decentralized festival throughout Hamburg. Over 90 concerts at around 50 venues brought experimental music, new music, free improvisation, and sound installations to various districts, alternative spaces, and cultural houses.
The opening took place on the MS Stubnitz, followed by concerts at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater, in several churches, galleries, and small stages. The Hamburg scene for current music once again presented its diversity – without a curatorial motto, but as a workshop of the city itself.
The Verband für aktuelle Musik Hamburg recorded stable visitor numbers and announced the continuation of the format for 2026 at the end of the festival.
