The 2025 edition of blicke focused on the past and future of the festival — a reflective edition between stocktaking and new beginnings. The festival took place on November 14 and 15 at the endstation.kino Bochum-Langendreer, with collaborations with Filmstadt Dortmund, Freie Szene Film Dortmund, and FH Dortmund.

The 2025 edition marked a turning point for blicke. The organizers announced plans to rethink the festival for 2026 with new venues and revised program formats — without abandoning the core idea (Film festival of the Ruhr Area, in November, at the endstation.kino).
