Overview

The second edition of the BlackForestJazz Festival took place from late September to early October 2025 in the Northern Black Forest. Dozens of concerts at venues between Freudenstadt and Maulbronn connected the Black Forest into a large jazz landscape. With internationally renowned jazz acts and a consistently itinerant program structure, the festival established itself as a fixture in the South German jazz calendar in its second season.

2nd BlackForestJazz Festival — Autumn 2025

In 2025, the BlackForestJazz Festival once again spread its program across the entire Northern Black Forest region — from Freudenstadt to Bad Wildbad, Calw, Pforzheim, and Maulbronn, all the way to Remchingen. The mix of major international acts, smaller duos, and a children's series worked again: the festival filled the halls and definitively established itself in the South German jazz scene.

In 2025, the Kulturhaus Osterfeld Pforzheim, as the organizer, once again demonstrated how a decentralized concept can foster a cultural movement. With the 3rd edition in 2026, the program will expand to include 25 concerts plus 6 films — a significant step forward.
