Overview
The Biikebrennen Simonsberg 2025 took place on February 21st at the reservoir on Lundenbergsand. The volunteer fire brigade and the municipality of Simonsberg organized the fire as every year as part of the North Frisian Biike tradition. Admission is free. Followed by a traditional Grünkohlessen in the region.
The 2025 Biike took place as usual on the foreland by the reservoir. The Simonsberg fire brigade had collected fir trees and branches over the winter and piled them high. Around 6:30 PM, the fire was lit with the traditional call 'Tjen di Biiki ön!'
As at all Biike sites in Husum Bay, locals and guests gathered around the flames — the village character of the Simonsberg Biike remained as defining as ever. Afterwards, community members and guests celebrated the traditional Grünkohlessen in the region.
