Overview
The 2025 Biikebrennen in Rodenäs followed the traditional format on the evening of St. Peter's Day, February 21st: meeting at the community centre, lighting the Biike fire, followed by a communal kale supper at the community centre. The village community of the Wiedingharde municipality of Rodenäs gathered as every year for the Frisian UNESCO tradition.
2025 Edition
The 2025 Biikebrennen was organised by FCWH Holzbein and the Rodenäs volunteer fire brigade. The Wiedingharde tradition continues: small village, authentic fire, followed by a kale supper — UNESCO cultural heritage in its original form.
