Biikebrennen Risum-Lindholm

The 2025 Biikebrennen once again brought together the Frisian-speaking community of Risum-Lindholm for the traditional UNESCO World Heritage celebration. The Friisk Foriining, the Frasche Feriin for e Ååstermååre, and Frisia Historica organized the evening, which offered a rich program with a children's bonfire, the main bonfire, a Biikerede in the Frisian language, and a play by Rökefloose.

The conclusion with kale soup at Restaurant Fraschlönj in the Risum district, as always, made the Biikebrennen a festival that conveys the Frisian language and identity – authentic and understated.
