The 89th Bietigheimer Pferdemarkt 2025 took place in the classic five-day format at the festival grounds by the viaduct. The show jumping and dressage competition, horse awards, Monday parade through the old town, fireworks, and festival activities confirmed the market as the city's defining major event. Preparations for the 90th anniversary in 2026 began immediately after the festival ended.
Stable Major Format Leading Up to the Anniversary
The 89th Pferdemarkt 2025 — the last edition before the anniversary — once again attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city. The show jumping and dressage competition, horse breeding awards, parade, amusement park, and market proceeded in the established structure, underscoring the special status of the Bietigheimer Pferdemarkt in the Southern German folk festival calendar.
The city used the experiences from 2025 to prepare for the 90th anniversary in 2026 with expanded program elements — historically accented parade elements, a special focus on the 234-year history of the market since 1792, and an enhanced festival calendar concept.
