Overview

At the 2025 edition of Berlinale Talents, around 200 international filmmakers met in Berlin. Workshops, talks, and public programming at the HAU provided the framework for six days of exchange, networking, and talent development in the shadow of the 75th Berlinale.

The 22nd edition of Berlinale Talents 2025 continued the program's unbroken tradition since 2003: around 200 filmmakers from around the world, in Berlin for a week, integrated into the framework of the 75th Berlinale. The mix of closed workshop formats for the Talents themselves and a ticketed Public Programme at the HAU Hebbel am Ufer has proven successful and has evolved over the years.

As in previous years, the Talent Project Market and Berlinale Pro initiatives complemented the curatorial line. Berlinale Talents 2025 laid the groundwork for the program expansion in 2026, where the Berlinale Talents Lab, as a new workshop format, will support 20 alumni projects for the first time.
