The 9th Berlin Design Week 2025, with its motto 'In Real Life', continued the trend towards the physical experience of design: open studios, galleries, and universities opened their doors. Even then, Macherei Kreuzberg was a central meeting point, complemented by locations in Mitte, Wedding, and Schöneberg.

The 2025 edition marked the transition to the 10th anniversary. With the program pillars Berlin Design Night and Design Pool, state of DESIGN GmbH further developed the format into a decentralized city event with clearly identifiable highlight days. International designers, university showcases, and material innovation talks formed the framework.
