Overview
The 2025 edition of the Berkelfestival Stadtlohn brought thousands of visitors to Stadtlohn's town center. With Youth Day, Family Day, and Berkel Day, the format established itself as a fixture in the Westmünsterland spring calendar. Stadtlohn Marketing and the Berkelregion cooperation drew a positive conclusion and announced the continuation in 2026.
The 2025 festival demonstrated how a river theme (Berkel) can become an identity-forming anchor for a multi-day community festival. The organizers combine urban programs (Hip-Hop, cover bands) with a connection to nature ('Picnic over the Berkel') — a mix that works particularly well in Stadtlohn.
