Overview
In 2025, the Bergheim Carnival Parade also marched through Magdeburger Straße and the pedestrian zone to Aachener Tor on Carnival Sunday — accompanied by the parallel parades in Quadrath-Ichendorf and Glessen. Bergheim's carnival tradition has been rooted in the Rhein-Erft district for decades and is considered one of the largest carnival events in the western suburbs of Cologne.

In 2025, the parallel carnival parades in Bergheim city center, Quadrath-Ichendorf, and Glessen already took place — a well-rehearsed format that the Festkomitee Bergheimer Karneval e.V. has coordinated with local carnival societies for many years. In 2025, as in 2026, the main parade followed the proven route Magdeburger Straße → pedestrian zone → Aachener Tor.
