Berchtesgadener Advent

2025/26 Season

As every winter, the historic centre of Berchtesgaden transformed into a large Alpine Advent market in late autumn 2025. From 21 November 2025 to 3 January 2026, the approximately 50 Advent huts were open — six weeks full of mulled wine, gingerbread, wood art, and brass band sounds.

Berchtesgadener Advent GmbH stuck to the concept of "lived tradition": regional exhibitors, Alpine handicrafts, local specialities. The brass band concerts from the palace roof were once again among the most popular programme items. The market attracted visitors from the entire Salzburg and Berchtesgaden region, as well as from international tourism.
