11th Belziger Bachstelze 2025 — Review

The 11th edition of the comedy festival followed the proven formula in 2025: two evenings, four artists each, daily winner selection by audience applause. As every year, the festival was embedded in the Belziger Burgfestwoche and utilized the intimate setting of the KleinKunstWerk Bad Belzig.

The format has established itself since its first edition in 2014 as an effective talent platform: many artists from the independent cabaret scene in Brandenburg, Berlin, and across Germany use the performance as a springboard for an invitation to a solo evening the following year — the winners then return with a full-length program.

The festival is not only a summer highlight for Bad Belzig but also an important annual meeting point for the entire performance art scene in Brandenburg.
