The 22nd edition of Begehungen took place in 2025, the year Chemnitz was European Capital of Culture. The festival once again used a vacant building for site-specific art — as a contribution to the European Capital of Culture.
The 2025 edition was part of the Capital of Culture program and thus received more international attention than usual. Conceptually, the festival continued to follow the established model: site-specific art in a vacant building in the city.
