Overview

In 2025, the Berlin-Brandenburg Poetry Slam Championship also took place with three semi-finals and one final. The concept – 30 slam poets from the region, three semi-final venues, one grand hall final – was successfully implemented as in the following year. The top 5 qualified for the German-language championships.

The 2025 edition continued the established four-evening format. With semi-finals in central Berlin venues and at Waschhaus Potsdam, the regional link between Berlin and Brandenburg was made visible, as every year. The final took place in a large Berlin hall, and the audience's vote decided victory and defeat.

The BB SLAM 2025 edition confirmed its position as a central benchmark for the Berlin-Brandenburg slam scene, which leads the German-speaking world with over 200 slam events per year. Several slam poets from the 2025 field went on to compete in the national championships.
