Overview

In 2025, the Bammentaler Kerwe also took place on the third weekend of August around the Elsenzhalle and in the town centers of Bammental and Reilsheim. As always, the Reilser Kerweborscht e.V. and the Altstadt Kerweborscht Bammental e.V., together with the municipality, organized the traditional Kirchweihfest. Kerwebaumstellen on Saturday, beer barrel tapping by the mayor, a grand parade on Sunday, and Kerweschlumbl burial on Monday formed the fixed program points.

2025 Edition

The Bammentaler Kerwe 2025 took place on the third weekend of August — as it has for many decades. The Kerweborscht from Reilsheim and the Old Town, together with the municipality of Bammental, celebrated the traditional Kirchweihfest with all its classic program points.

On Saturday, the Kerwebaum was erected and the beer barrel tapped by the mayor; on Sunday, the grand parade marched through Bammental and Reilsheim; on Monday, the humorous conclusion of the festival with the Kerweschlumbl burial followed. The Kerwe tradition has been alive for generations and is one of the identity-forming events of the Elsenz Valley municipality.
