Overview

The 19th "Ballett im Park" edition took place in July 2025 at the Eckensee in the Upper Schlossgarten. Saturday evening featured the grand gala of the company, and Sunday morning presented the matinee of the John Cranko School. Thousands of visitors sat on the lawn around the Eckensee, picnic blankets filled the Schlossgarten, and the Stuttgart Ballet presented a representative selection from its repertoire under the open sky.

The 2025 edition continued the tradition. With warm summer weather, the Upper Schlossgarten filled up on Saturday evening in the early hours – families, dance fans, and tourists gathered with picnic blankets and cushions around the Eckensee. The company's gala showcased Cranko classics, Petipa excerpts, and current choreographies.

On Sunday morning, the John Cranko School took over the stage. The matinee was a charming start to a summer morning – with classical variations, group pieces, and performances by the youngest students. The audience applauded, smiled, and enjoyed two days of performances that the Stuttgart Ballet offers to the public as a gift.
