Edition 2025 — Hersfeld Festival
The 74th Bad Hersfeld Festival in 2025 marked the farewell of Joern Hinkel as Artistic Director and the transition to Elke Hesse. As usual, performances took place in the Stiftsruine, at Schloss Eichhof, and in the Kapitelsaal.
The 2025 season was characterized by a generational and directorial change: after several years under Joern Hinkel, Elke Hesse took over the artistic direction. As usual, the program included several drama productions in the Stiftsruine as well as guest productions at Schloss Eichhof.
Programme
Several drama and musical theatre productions in the Stiftsruine, complemented by performances at Schloss Eichhof and readings in the Kapitelsaal. The highlight was the awarding of the Hersfeld Prize as part of the festival.
