Edition 2025 — Lavender Festival Bad Blankenburg
In 2025, the Lavender Festival once again transformed the centre of Bad Blankenburg into a fragrant summer celebration. For two days, lavender stalls, artisans, and live music filled the market square, supported by the town and dedicated local players. The festival confirmed its reputation as one of the most charming summer festivals in the Saalfeld-Rudolstadt region.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition dating back to the late 1990s. Lavender-infused specialities — syrup, liqueur, honey, soaps, dried bouquets — characterised the market, while artisans showcased lavender wreaths and floral arrangements. Live music accompanied the day's events, and families with children enjoyed the hands-on activities. With its Lavender Festival, Bad Blankenburg maintained its own thematic profile alongside the region's many city and folk festivals (Stadtfeste and Volksfeste).
