In 2025, instead of the Bachgassenfest, the alternating 'Stadtfest mit Herz' took place — Höchstädt's other biennial town festival format. The Bachgassenfest has alternated every two years with the 'Stadtfest mit Herz' for years and will be held again in the Bachgasse in 2026.

In 2025, there was no Bachgassenfest — as the festival alternates in a two-year cycle with Höchstädt's 'Stadtfest mit Herz'. Therefore, in the summer of 2025, the 'Stadtfest mit Herz' was the central summer event in the Swabian Danube town.

The Bachgassenfest will be celebrated again in the Bachgasse in 2026 — a deliberate separation of the two festival formats so that each can develop its own character and concept. While the 'Stadtfest mit Herz' occupies the market square and the central town center with a large, town-wide program, the Bachgassenfest is more intimate and focused on Höchstädt's gastronomy and local clubs.
