Overview
The 9th Bachfest Eisenach in October/November 2025 continued the tradition of cantata services in the Georgenkirche and main concerts. Soloists, the Eisenach Bach Choir, and renowned ensembles from Central Germany shaped the festival in Bach's birthplace — in preparation for the 2026 anniversary festival.
Eisenach 2025 — 9th Bachfest
In October/November 2025, the 9th Bachfest Eisenach took place in the Georgenkirche and other venues in the city. Cantata services, main concerts with the Thüringer Bach Collegium, the Eisenach Bach Choir and soloists, as well as a crossover evening characterized the festival. In 2025, preparations for the major anniversary festival in 2026 («100 Years of the Eisenach Bach Choir», 10th Bachfest edition) were also intensively advanced.
