Overview

The 2025 Bach Weeks at Hamburg's St. Michael's Church offered three weeks of concerts centered around Johann Sebastian Bach and his era in the main church St. Michaelis. Opening concerts, crypt concerts, the Long Bach Night with free admission, and cantata services once again confirmed the Michel as Hamburg's most important church music venue alongside the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle.

The 2025 edition followed the established tradition: three weeks of Bach-focused programming in St. Michaelis Church in the Neustadt district. Renowned soloists and ensembles from Germany and abroad performed in the concerts, complemented by crypt concerts in the historic crypt of the Michel and the free Long Bach Night.

The Michel Choir, Michel Orchestra, and the Michel cantor formed the core ensemble. The organizer was Michel-Musik of St. Michaelis Church. Tickets, starting from 15 Euros, were available through advance sales.
