Overview

The 2025 summer edition of the b12 Festival ran for four weeks at DOCK 11 and EDEN Studios. Workshops, performance series, and residencies shaped an international workshop program that brought together the Berlin and global dance scene.

The tenth summer edition in 2025 (b12 was founded in 2015) marked an anniversary and confirmed the festival as one of the most important international research formats for contemporary dance and performance. Four-week workshops, curated performance series (Mavericks, Critical Mass, Asteroids), and residency projects followed the established format.

After a decade, b12 has established itself as a central hub for international dance research. With the summer edition 2026 (July 6 – August 2), the model will be continued and expanded with the new 'Stay & Research' package, which improves accessibility for participants from outside Berlin.
