Overview

The 71st Kandahar Race 2025 once again attracted the world's elite in alpine skiing to Garmisch-Partenkirchen. On the Kandahar Arena Kreuzeck, the men's downhill and Super-G were held, accompanied by thousands of spectators in the finish area.

The 2025 edition of the Kandahar Race once again demonstrated the international appeal of this FIS World Cup stop. On the notorious Kandahar slope, the world's best men competed in Downhill and Super-G, against the impressive backdrop of the Zugspitze massif.

The atmosphere in the finish area was, as always, characterized by Bavarian festival tradition: brass band music, roast chicken, mulled wine, and the live reactions of international ski fans created the unmistakable Kandahar atmosphere. The scoring races were broadcast to numerous European, Asian, and North American countries.
