at.tension Festival

The tenth at.tension edition in 2024 marked an anniversary: ten festivals in over twenty years of biennial existence. From September 5th to 8th, 2024, more than 10,000 visitors flocked to the former Lärz military airfield to experience the works of over 700 artists from all over Europe. The programme included circus, street theatre, puppet theatre, contemporary dance, performance, readings, and sound art. Hangars, old runways, and circus tents provided an impressive backdrop for an interdisciplinary art experience unique in its form in Germany. The 2024 edition confirmed at.tension as the most important German platform for independent performing arts in a festival format.
