Edition 2025 — Bach Days Aschaffenburg
The 37th Aschaffenburg Bach Days 2025 once again offered three weeks of concerts in the classic venues of the Collegiate Basilica, Christuskirche, Park Schönbusch Festsaal, and Schmerlenbach Pilgrimage Church. The Aschaffenburg Bach Society combined works by Johann Sebastian Bach with programs centered around his musical environment. As in previous years, lectures on historical performance practice complemented the concert offerings.
37th Aschaffenburg Bach Days 2025
The 2025 edition continued the proven concept: high-quality concerts of historically informed performance practice in four venues, combined with lectures and special formats by the Bach Society. Soloists and ensembles of international renown met in Aschaffenburg and presented a festival that maintains its firm place in the Lower Franconian concert scene.
Preparation for the 40th Anniversary
2025 was also the year of preparation for the 2026 double anniversary (38th Bach Days + 40 years Bach Society). Programming, ensemble requests, and lectures were prepared with the 2026 motto "Bach & Bohemia" in mind.
