Overview

The 39th edition of the Arolser Barock-Festspiele in 2025 continued with the established format of around a dozen concerts in the halls of the Residenzschloss, the Stadtkirche, and other historic venues in Bad Arolsen. Artistic Director: Prof. Dorothee Oberlinger.

The 39th edition continued the nearly forty-year tradition of the festival, focusing on Early Music from the early Baroque to the early Classical period. The musical treasure hunt through the Residenzschloss, the Late-Night concert in the Fürstliche Reitbahn, and the closing fireworks display in front of the palace were established program highlights.

Programme

Five-day program featuring an opening concert, chamber music in the palace halls, Bach cantatas, and a festive closing concert followed by fireworks in front of the Residenzschloss.
