Edition 2025 — ARENA Festival
The 35th ARENA of Young Arts took place from June 19th to 22nd, 2025, at FAU Erlangen. Young international groups presented theatre, dance, and performance pieces on the FAU stages and used the Festival Centre as a meeting and discussion point.
The 35th edition of ARENA of Young Arts in 2025 once again confirmed the festival's profile: young, interdisciplinary, international, and distinctly discursive. For the opening, FAU published detailed pre-event coverage, showcasing the range of invited productions – from classical theatrical work to performance formats at the intersection of visual arts, dance, and new music.
As in previous years, performances ran concurrently on multiple stages; the Festival Centre was open throughout the four days. The student organization has been a hallmark of ARENA for years, fostering an unusual level of closeness between artists and the audience.
