Edition 2025 — ANNOTOPIA Lüdinghausen
The 7th edition of the ANNOTOPIA Fantasy Festival in 2025 took place, as is traditional, in August at Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen. Three days of medieval market, European crafts, cosplay, show fights, and live music once again made the moated castle the festival mecca of the Münsterland region.
2025 Review — 7th Edition
The 7th edition of the ANNOTOPIA Festival took place in August 2025 at the historic Vischering Castle in Lüdinghausen. As in previous years, the festival gathered merchants and craftspeople from all over Europe, reenactment groups with historical camp life, live music acts from the medieval folk, pagan rock, and fantasy rock spectrum, and a highly motivated cosplay audience.
With staggered opening hours (Friday evening, full Saturday, family Sunday), the proven three-day format proved successful. The moated castle setting with its double moats and medieval walls remained the festival's USP — hardly any other fantasy festival in NRW can offer such an authentic backdrop.
