Overview

The fifth edition of ANNOTOPIA Bad Mergentheim took place from May 2nd to 4th, 2025, at the Deutschordensschloss. Reenactment groups from all over Europe, cosplayers from the great fantasy worlds, a medieval craft market, knight tournaments, and nightly fire shows attracted several thousand visitors to the castle. ANNOTOPIA Bad Mergentheim 2025

The fifth edition of the reenactment and cosplay festival at the Bad Mergentheim location ran for three days in the grand courtyard and the English gardens of the Deutschordensschloss. Vikings, medieval knights, Templars, and high medieval peasant households set up their historical camps, while cosplayers from Middle-earth, Star Wars, and Game of Thrones brought modern fantasy culture.

Highlights included the evening knight tournaments with horses, the falconry displays, and the grand fire spectacle on Saturday evening. Several thousand visitors from Southern Germany and across Europe traveled for the traditional season opening.
