Overview
The 12th Amberger Brunnenfest 2025 once again attracted thousands of visitors and over 500 actors in historical costume to Amberg's old town. The medieval reenactment at Maxplatz in front of the Vilstor is one of the most authentic reenactment events in the Upper Palatinate.
The 2025 edition continued the tradition established over many years. As every year, Cantus Ferrum and the numerous participating associations reenacted the princely wedding of 1474 — one of the most magnificent late medieval wedding celebrations in Bavaria.
Authentic craft demonstrations, show fights, dance groups, and music with historical instruments turned Maxplatz in front of the Vilstor into a lively medieval stage. The evening fire art show was once again among the most photographed program items.
