Overview

The Herzogenaurach Old Town Festival 2025 took place from June 20 to 22, 2025, in the historic old town. For three days, celebrations were held at the market square and castle courtyard, with concerts, craft demonstrations, club stands, and a Sunday with open shops. As every year, the festival stood for the connection between Franconian tradition and modern city life – a meeting place for families, residents, and visitors from the entire Erlangen-Höchstadt district.

The 2025 edition of the Herzogenaurach Old Town Festival ran from June 20 to 22, 2025. As usual, the market square, main street, and castle courtyard were transformed into a three-day festival mile with stage performances, club stands, and children's activities.

Several stages provided a varied music program of Franconian brass music, pop and rock cover bands, as well as performances by the city youth band. Craftsmen demonstrated pottery and woodturning, clubs and partner cities presented themselves with culinary and cultural contributions. The Sunday with open shops on June 22, 2025, also invited visitors to shop in the city center.

Overall, the 2025 Old Town Festival built on the tradition of previous years: free admission, a relaxed family-friendly atmosphere, and a vibrant picture of Herzogenaurach between a global corporate location and a small Middle Franconian town.
