The Gengenbach Old Town Festival 2025 continued the decades-long tradition of the summer festival in the Imperial City's old town. The Gengenbach Civic Guard e.V., together with local associations, organized the catering around the market square and in the surrounding alleys. Black Forest specialties, Baden wines, and live music characterized the festival day.

Events like the Old Town Festival are the social backbone of the small Black Forest town. They combine historical identity (Imperial City tradition, Civic Guard uniform) with the contemporary club landscape and create meeting places for locals and tourists — Gengenbach is one of the most visited towns in the Black Forest and is full of day-trippers in the summer.
