Overview

The altonale Kunstherbst 2025 took place on November 29 and 30 in a former parcel distribution center in Altona — covering around 1,200 square meters. Over 60 artists exhibited works in painting, drawing, graphics, sculpture, installation, urban art, and design. Special guest: the social project "Light Houses".

The 2025 edition attracted a mixed audience of collectors, art students, families, and the simply curious. The atmosphere in the former parcel distribution facility was unusual — high ceilings, industrial concrete, with artist booths interspersed. Students from Hamburg's art academies projected video mappings onto the hall walls, and a large outdoor video screen at PLAY Studio provided additional visibility.

NDR Hamburg Journal filmed a weather forecast from inside the hall with artists in front of their works — an unusual combination of a TV show and an art event. Organizers reported high visitor numbers and an "open, beautiful, and inviting atmosphere.".
