Already in 2025, the Alternative Advent Market took place on the first Advent weekend around St. Nikolaus and Hausmannsplatz. The WEG format has been established for years and complements the Advent Gathering on the market square.
The 2025 edition ran in the usual weekend format. WEG reinforced the concept of curated exhibitors and special culinary offerings (flambéed salmon, kale), which distinguish the Wipperfürth Advent offering from comparable markets.
