Farmers' Markets 2025 — Altenburg in Spring and Autumn

The 2025 farmers' markets in Altenburg continued the tradition of twice-yearly direct marketer markets on the historic market square. Cheese from Hartha, mustard, mill bread from Lumpzig, old apple varieties, and ceramics from the region — plus demonstrations of historical agricultural machinery like scythe sharpening, threshing, and starting the Lanz tractor. For children, there was a straw pyramid, a Kettcar course, and encounters with farm animals. Organizers: Altenburger Bauernhöfe e.V. in cooperation with Schloss- und Kulturbetriebe Altenburg.
