Edition 2024 — Altdorf Christmas Market
The last edition before 2026 — the Altdorf Christmas Market 2024 — took place on the 3rd Sunday of Advent in December 2024 around the town hall. Again, catering by clubs, arts and crafts from the Heckengäu region, and Advent music by local brass players. The market traditionally took a break in 2025 (odd year), with the next edition scheduled for 2026.
2024 — Last Edition Before the Break
The 2024 market took place on the third Sunday of Advent, concluding the two-year even cycle. The response was good as usual — residents of Altdorf and their neighbors from the southern Böblingen district used the occasion for a small Advent outing after the large Stuttgart market in previous weeks.
The clubs reported a positive outcome: proceeds went into club treasuries for instruments, shooting ranges, fire department equipment, and youth work. The 2025 preparation phase (break) was used to evaluate the concept and involve new clubs — the 2026 market will thus launch with a slightly expanded stall configuration.
