Overview

The Altdeutscher Weihnachtsmarkt Bad Wimpfen 2025 took place on the first three Advent weekends from November 28 to December 14, 2025, in the medieval old town. Over 100 stalls, night watchman tours, the European Village in the Wormser Hof, and the Christmas stories once again attracted thousands of visitors to the former imperial city on the Neckar.

Three Traditional Advent Weekends 2025

In 2025, the Bad Wimpfen Christmas market once again confirmed its reputation as one of Germany's most beautiful Advent markets. With classic winter weather — snowfall on the second Advent weekend — day-trippers and tourists from all over southern Germany and Switzerland flocked to the medieval old town. The curated selection of craft stalls, the night watchman tours, and the European Village (guest country in 2025 was the Czech Republic) were once again the highlights.

Tradition Since 1487 Unbroken

More than five centuries later, the market still fulfills its purpose: pre-Christmas gathering, trade in high-quality goods, enjoyment of mulled wine and gingerbread in an atmosphere that is not artificially reconstructed but historically grown. In 2026, the market will continue unchanged in its proven structure — three Advent weekends starting November 27, 2026.
