Overview

The Alstertallauf Hamburg 2025 took place in late October along the upper Alster hiking trail between Rahlstedt, Meiendorf, and Alstertal. The Hamburger Turnerbund von 1862 once again organized the four races: half marathon, 10 km, 4 km, and 1.5 km beginner's run — on a flat course profile.

The 2025 edition confirmed its format as a quiet autumn fun run in eastern Hamburg — far from the hustle and bustle of big city marathons, with a nature-oriented course along the Alster hiking trail. Families, ambitious half marathon runners, and beginners found their suitable distance among the four races.

The pasta party and award ceremonies after the run rounded off the club character of the event. The HTB, founded in 1862, has used the Alstertallauf for years to keep the Hamburg running scene vibrant beyond major events.
