Edition 2025 — Almabtrieb Stoißer Alm
The 2025 Almabtrieb from the Stoißer Alm traditionally took place at the end of September, attracting numerous visitors from the entire Berchtesgaden region. Around 40 young cows returned to the valley festively decorated after an accident-free summer on the alm. The herdsmen proudly carried the elaborately crafted "Fuikln" and "Latsch'nboschn" ahead, while the lead cow guided the herd.
As in previous years, the 2025 Almabtrieb from the Stoißer Alm was a successful traditional festival in Rupertiwinkel. With mild weather for the season, the festively decorated animals began their journey into the valley around 2 p.m. Accompanied by brass music and herdsmen in traditional costume, the herd moved through the late summer landscape. Numerous visitors gathered at the Seiberstadt parking area to admire the animals and experience the Alpine tradition live.
