The Allez Hop Bierfestival 2025 at the Platz für Demokratie on Aachen's Büchel was one of the first editions of the young Aachen craft beer format. The cultural association mukuva e.V. brought together breweries from the tri-border region and beer enthusiasts in the city center — a compact beer festival premiere aiming to establish the Aachener Bierfestival.
Allez Hop 2025
The 2025 edition of the Allez Hop Bierfestival profiled the young format under the patronage of mukuva e.V.: Breweries from the Belgian-German-Dutch border region brought their varieties to Aachen's old town. The choice of the Platz für Demokratie as the venue underscored the ambition to shape an open, multicultural beer festival format — not a simple beer hall, but a meeting point for Aachen's beer community in a symbolically charged square. Live music, local gastronomy, and beer tastings framed the weekend.
