Overview

The 2025 Ahaus City Marksmen Festival once again brought together the 19 marksmen clubs of the city for the joint event in the Castle Park. The parade through the city center with flags, uniforms, and music offered an impressive spectacle of Münsterland marksmen culture. The bird shooting contest determined the new City Marksmen King, who was officially inaugurated with festival tent music and the King's Ball.

The 2025 edition once again confirmed the central importance of the City Marksmen Festival in the Ahaus marksmen calendar. The 19 clubs — from the districts of Ahaus, Alstätte, Graes, Ottenstein, Wessum, and Wüllen — created an impressive gathering of Münsterland marksmen tradition with their joint parade and the bird shooting contest in the Castle Park. The baroque Ahaus Castle as a backdrop, the Catholic-rural marksmen identity, and the convivial atmosphere under the festival tent characterized the weekend.
