Edition 2025 — African Book Festival
The African Book Festival Berlin 2025 once again brought together authors, publishers, and diaspora communities from Africa, the Caribbean, and Europe at the TAK Theater im Aufbau Haus in Kreuzberg. Three days of programming with readings, panels, workshops, and an open-air market made Moritzplatz the hub of Berlin's African literary scene.
The 2025 edition also focused on the proven mix of moderated book talks, critical discussions, and networking formats between the audience, diaspora communities, and authors. Previous thematic focuses such as postcolonialism, identity, and resistance were explored in more depth. In parallel, an open-air market with book stalls and African cuisine enlivened Moritzplatz in front of the Aufbau Haus.
