Overview

The 2025 Adventsmarkt ran for four days at Wasserschloss Raesfeld with over 80 exhibitors, a St. Nicholas procession, and the new collaboration with the Academy of Crafts.

In 2025, the market started on Thursday, December 4th at 3 PM. At 4:30 PM, Mayor Dirk Kuhmann, along with Marketing Director Maria Kowalsky, opened the festival. At 5 PM, the St. Nicholas procession started from Raesfeld Town Hall, with the Schlossmusikanten and torch-bearing firefighters to the market grounds, where Stutenkerle were distributed. The new collaboration with the Akademie des Handwerks brought open workshops to the market — according to the organizers, a real enrichment.

Programme

Four days of Adventsmarkt at the moated castle: Thursday–Friday 3–9 PM, Saturday 11 AM–9 PM, Sunday 11 AM–8 PM. Over 80 exhibitors, St. Nicholas procession on Thursday evening, Akademie des Handwerks workshops, Schlossmusikanten, and fire eaters as performers.
