Overview

The 2025 Advent market at Schloss Burg an der Wupper traditionally opened the 1st Advent weekend. Arts and crafts stalls in the inner courtyard and historic rooms, festive lighting, and the large decorated Christmas tree in front of the castle characterized the atmospheric weekend — one of the most evocative Advent markets in the Bergisches Land region.

Adventsbasar 2025

In 2025, the established format of the Advent market once again took place on the 1st Advent weekend at Schloss Burg. Three days of market activity with curated arts and crafts, mulled wine, and regional gastronomy, plus the open castle museum for visitors who wanted to combine their market visit with castle history.

The Schlossbauverein Burg an der Wupper e.V. organized the market annually on a voluntary basis. Proceeds from stall fees and catering support the maintenance and preservation of the castle complex — one of North Rhine-Westphalia's largest heritage projects.
