Edition 2025 — Adelgundisfest

The Adelgundisfest 2025 was celebrated on the last Sunday in January in the Adelgundis Chapel on the Staffelberg. Pilgrims and tradition enthusiasts from Upper Franconia climbed the holy mountain despite wintery conditions to participate in the festival mass in honor of Saint Adelgundis and to have their Adelgundis water consecrated at the mountain spring.

As every year, at the beginning of 2025, believers from the Lichtenfels district and the wider region gathered for the traditional Adelgundisfest on the Staffelberg. The festival mass in the small mountain chapel and the subsequent consecration of the Adelgundis water at the spring formed the highlight. Despite wintery, slippery paths, the tradition was maintained and celebrated with great devotion. The Catholic parish of St. Kilian Bad Staffelstein organized the spiritual framework as usual.
