The 21st edition of 'achtung berlin' once again presented around 80 films from Berlin and Brandenburg in Berlin's independent cinemas in 2025. Opening at Babylon, competitions in four categories, concluding with the New Berlin Film Award ceremony.
In 2025, 'achtung berlin' followed its established format: eight days of programming with feature film, documentary, medium-length, and short film competitions, complemented by Berlin Spotlights, Berlin Series, and a retrospective. The venues were, as usual, Babylon, fsk, Wolf Kino, Colosseum, and Lichtblick. The festival remained true to its mission of showcasing Berlin and Brandenburg film talent, regardless of their distribution status.
